Cryptography

Elliptic Curve Cryptography is an efficient and secured mechanism for implementing Public Key Cryptography and for Signing messages. The primary benefit of ECC is a small key size, reducing storage and transmission requirements—i.e., that an elliptic curve group could provide the same level of security afforded by an RSA-based system with a large modulus and correspondingly larger key.

 

We provide solutions for the following algorithms based on elliptic curve cryptography:

• ECC Key Pair Generation
• Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA)

Above algorithms are specified in standard ANS X9.62-2005, they are compliant with FIPS 186-3 (Federal Information Processing Standard) and NIST (National Institute of standard and Technology) suit-B.

 

FIPS 186-3 has 10 recommended finite fields: 5 prime fields Fp for p192, p224, p256, p384, p521 and 5 binary fields F2m for 163, 233, 283, 409, 571 with three types of curves named random prime, random binary and koblitz curve.

 

Picus Tech has implemented highly efficient algorithms optimized in ARM native assembly for several ARM cores. The implementations are memory and MIPs efficient.

• AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) is a block cipher used in symmetric key cryptography. It is one of the most widely used symmetric key cryptography algorithm.
• The implementation features one of the fastest encryption/decryption and requires a low memory footprint.
• Implementation is consistent with FIPs-197
• It also supports ECB mode, CBE-mode and CBC-MAC with CCM
• Optimized in native assembly
• Supports AES-128, AES-192 and AES-256

• • Triple Data Encryption Algorithm (Triple DES or 3DES) is a block cipher, which applies the Data Encryption Standard (DES) cipher algorithm three times to each data block.
• Implementation is compliant with standard FIPS 46-3
• Low memory footprint
• Re-entrant implementation makes it easy to integrate
• Optimized in native Assembly
• It supports seven different modes as described in ANSI X9.52 named as:
  • TDEA Cipher Block Chaining Mode of Operation (TCBC)
  • TDEA Cipher Block Chaining Mode of Operation - Interleaved (TCBC-I)
  • TDEA Cipher Feedback Mode of Operation (TCFB)
  • TDEA Cipher Feedback Mode of Operation - Pipelined (TCFB-P)
  • TDEA Output Feedback Mode of Operation (TOFB)
  • TDEA Output Feedback Mode of Operation - Interleaved (TOFB-I)

• RSA is a public Key cryptography algorithm used popularly for wide range of applications, which use Public Key Cryptography. With sufficiently long key lengths and proper selections, RSA is highly secure.
• The implementation features one of fastest encryption/decryption and requires a low memory footprint
• Key signing functionality and support for PKCS#1 1.5 and 2.1 OAEP available
• Key generation functionality available

Hashing Algorithms

• SHA-256, SHA1, SHA-384, SHA-512 are implemented in accordance with FIPS 180-2.
• Support for other algorithms such as MD5 also available.
• HMAC support is also available.

DIFFIE-HELLMAN KEY EXCHANGE

• The Diffie-Hellman Key Exchange algorithm is implemented in accordance with RFC-2631.
• The implementation is highly optimized for native 32 bit platforms.
